Hello! I'm Lindsay- licensed counselor and owner of Panorama Mental Health. Welcome! I would love to learn more about you and support you on your wellness journey!
My Story:
I was born and raised in the mountains of Washington state. I have always found nature to be healing and have spent a great deal of time outside. From a young age, I have loved art, writing, hiking, and many other meaningful activities.
Through a series of personal and life experiences, I further discovered that I have a passion for sharing life with and supporting others. I received my education in eastern Washington where I also had the opportunity to work with individuals accessing social services, women and children in recovery, individuals interacting with the Juvenile Rehabilitation Administration, and students from a variety of educational institutions. In my interactions with the many people I was privileged to know, I began to recognize the critical role that relationship, connection, and support hold in determining success and well-being. It was then I decided to become a counselor.
I received my counseling degree while working as a school-based therapist, and found a niche providing therapy to young adults, teens, children, and their families. I then continued my work in variety of settings in the Seattle area including: outpatient community mental health clinics, high schools, primary care offices, medical facilities, and a private outpatient office. I have been privileged to work with clients of all ages, identities, and backgrounds. I have provided individual therapy, group therapy, crisis services, and case-management to a great deal of people in my years of experience as a clinician.
In 2023, my family and I decided to move to Colorado. We love the community and enjoy the sunshine, mountains, and scenery that comes with living life at the base of the Flatirons in Boulder, CO. Here, I founded Panorama Mental Health- a practice built on the idea that sometimes we may need to zoom out and widen our perspectives to promote a healthy and joyful life.
When outside the office, you will find me practicing my own self-care! I love to travel and have traveled throughout the US, Europe, and South America to feed my sense of adventure. On any given day, you might find me on the trails, at a lake, enjoying good food, painting, or lost in a bookstore. I never want to miss out on a chance to be creative, challenge myself, or have fun!
I describe my process as collaborative- I believe that your involvement and worldview are essential to your healing. In therapy, I aim to help you identify your goals, strengths, abilities, and potential. Therapy will first start with assessing symptoms and developing a plan for treatment. Often, therapy will then involve some form of psychoeducation or learning to allow for new understanding, validation of experience, and increased perspective. Through reflective exercises, experiential therapy activities, creative modalities, and brainstorming, we will aim to treat symptoms and map out a path for a more meaningful way of living. I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches and evidence-based practices to meet individual needs including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and client-centered therapy. It is my hope that therapy may provide you with the tools, self-knowledge, and direction to support new growth.
